During the last 10 years or so, many players have stuck out for various reasons ie pace, skill, technique, leadership qualities etc It's time to come up with your 10 or make it 11 dream team if u like. Try not to be bias :) but they should all be from castleknock.

Too many weaknesses to the man above. Heres a more solid looking team which has all the elements u need. Strength speed skill and technique. Most of the players on that list should have went to england in their hayday. I don't think there will be too many arguments there. The players which i excluded were due to weaknesses of technique and lack of experience at the highest level.

1. Joycie( safe hands)
2. Daragh o connor ( dependable)
3. Ciaran hennesy ( fighter)
4. Butsy( size and strength)
5. Dicko ( strength in the tackle)
6. Demo (wide range of passes)
7. Wany ( dangers on set pieces)
8. Cotsy ( close control)
9. Youie ( skillful)
10. Mannix ( movement and vision)
11. Lewis ( pace)

Subs: Alan Sutton, David Sutton, the judge, wardy and Neil glyn(goalkeeper)

2. decky walsh( touch of a rapist)
3. cheesy( touch of a rapist)

No need for subs. The ref wuld call the game off after 2 minutes due to the fact that it wuld not resemble a football match due to how horrific the standard wuld be hence breaking the rule
' kicking the ball to a team mate with the objective of putting the ball in the opposing teams net'

1993 hpfc team was easily the best team in castleknock

glynner
wardy
decy
coleman
micky walsh
maccer
cotsy
matso
grimesy
mayser
Paudge/Matso part deux

best team in castleknock, best there was, best there is and best there ever will be...

p.avenue, stockton, georgian villgae, whovever, we beat yis all......over and over until it got boring......p.avenue was especially sweet as their lads had the infamous "our lads are on trials" nonsense....particularly nice to stick four or five past them......

easy money....always was always will be.

P.Avenue have always been trumpet blowers....nuggets incident was one of a handful......

they were always moanin that their "star players" were in england on trials every time w'ed beat them.....and we didnt even use mannix....

By the way I gave Youie a good dig in the head in Moggo's one day 'cos he was shooting his mouth off as usual. I drew blood it was great. His Shotokan Karate didn't help him that day. That and the fact that I was a 16 stone 20 year old and he was 9.
